KEELA STARR
Keela Starr is a model scout, talent manager, mother agent, and entrepreneur with more than three decades of experience in the modeling and entertainment industry.
After school, Keela began her professional career with IBM while simultaneously pursuing acting and modeling. Her experience in front of the camera eventually led her behind the scenes, beginning her agency career as an assistant at Click Models before joining Race Model Management in New York, a partner agency of Karin Models in Paris. There, she developed a strong foundation in model management, scouting, development, and bookings.
After returning to Atlanta, Keela joined Atlanta Models & Talent, where she spent six years rebuilding and successfully running the agency’s model division. During that time, she founded K. Starr Management, an independent talent management and mother agency focused on discovering, developing, managing, and strategically placing models.
Through K. Starr Management, Keela established a successful track record of developing talent from the ground up, managing careers, and securing agency placements throughout the U.S. and internationally. Her ability to recognize potential, understand marketability, and position talent for the right opportunities has become a hallmark of her career.
In 2017, Keela founded The Nova Center, expanding her work with people into holistic wellness and personal development.
When the pandemic reshaped the modeling industry, some K. Starr models transitioned into college and other pursuits while Keela continued managing and developing talent. The shift ultimately opened the door to the next chapter of her agency career.
In 2022, Keela joined Select Model Management Atlanta, bringing decades of industry experience and an established background in scouting, management, development, and placement. Today, her work with Select focuses on discovering and developing new talent and strategically preparing models for opportunities in Atlanta, across the U.S., and internationally.
Keela continues to lead K. Starr Management while working with Select Model Management Atlanta and The Nova Center—bringing together a career built on identifying potential, developing people, and creating opportunities for growth.
